Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

As the Christmas season is upon us, and we are all bustling about. Let's not forget the real reason for the season. Sure it is fun to get your tree all up and decorated or browse through the store looking for the perfect gifts for your loved ones. But Christmas is not about the tree,  decorations or gifts. It is about so much more.  JESUS is the reason for the season! As a Christian myself it is hard not to get all wrapped up in buying gifts for my children and trying to make sure they have a wonderful Christmas. I have to remind myself why we celebrate this holiday. I have to tell my children who like to go tell Santa what they want for Christmas that even though its fun to get gifts we also need to give and share the love of Jesus with others. That Christmas is a state of mind and heart and that loving others is what Jesus wants us to, not just at Christmas time but every day! So as you decorate, shop and look for the perfect gifts remember that God sent his pe…

The Contented Homemaker

Hello Everyone,

Lets chat for a bit. For as long as I can remember I have longed to be a homemaker. Sure there are a lot of girls who wish to grow up and have a huge career and make lots of money etc. But for me I have always wanted to be a wife and mother. Sound boring? Well I will tell you that the life of a wife and mother is far from boring and it is the highest calling that God has for a women. I have always longed to be like Caroline Ingalls and to live in a tiny house somewhere on the prairie. She was content where ever she was as long as she had God and her family. I want to raise my children as she did firm but loving. I want to honor and respect my husband for all that he is and does and to Glorify God in all that I do. Am I perfect? NO, I fall short in so many ways. The wonderful thing is that God molds me and makes me into what he wants me to be daily. We live in a day and age where so many women are not content and satisfied with life. Maybe its because as homemakers and…

Praise Testimony!

I just want to give a Praise Testimony!!!

I wanted to share with every one how good God is!! I have a friend that I have been friends with for over 20 years. We grew up doing gymnastics together, we were in each others weddings and even though we live in different states we have always remained best friends. My dear friend and her husband have been married for ten years and have been unable to have a baby. They have have been through it all, and they even did foster care for a sweet baby boy and after six months the baby was reunited with his father. Although this was devastating for my friend she was also grateful for the experience to care for a little baby. But deep down inside she wanted a baby of her own to love and care for. I have been praying for my friend for as long as I have known her and I have been praying for her and her husband through out this journey to have a baby. Through all the ups and downs  and all the emotions of just wanting a family, I am happy to say that G…

Could you feed your family for 100.00 a month?

Hey everyone!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful October and getting ready for Halloween. I know we are and my kids are excited to go trick-or-treating. I thought I would ask the question, "If you only had 100.00 for the month could you feed your family ?" The reason I ask this is that as a one-income family I strive to spend as little as I can in my food budget to feed my family I don't do this for fun I do it out of necessity. I will typically spend close to 200 a month on food and toiletries but I know that I could spend less and still make healthy enjoyable meals for my family.  I am always scouring the internet for simple food recipes that I can stretch to feed my family. I have found that butchering a cow and having our freezer full is very cost-effective for our family. That relieves me of…

Do I Dare Talk About This??

Do I dare talk about this????

Well, lets get real and talk about when your child is strong willed and discipline, I know this is a touchy subject but thought I would share my view of it. Speaking from experience I know what its like to lose your mind as a parent when your child is defiant and just refuses to obey. My middle daughter was quiet a character as a toddler and young child, but as a preteen she is growing into a very lovely young lady. She has tried my patience many times and there were times I felt as though I just disciplined her all day long. She was a very stubborn toddler and child but because I am a christian I believe what the word of God says. I would rather give a quick swift spank and be done with the correction then to drag it out by forcing her to sit in time out all day long.

''Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.''

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to share a wonderful book series that has taken our homeschool to a whole new level! That's right a whole new level. If you are familiar with my curriculum and have watched my videos then you may have already seen or heard about the Who Was books!!! When I created my Delight Directed Curriculum I had these books in mind. Not only were they at a reading level my daughter could read at but they are chock-full of information. And, they cover so many people in history I am sure your child will find someone they want to learn about. These books are biographies of famous people throughout history. In my curriculum books, I have questions for each day that your child will have to answer about their person of interest. My girls dove right in and excitedly picked out who they were going to study…

Life Update!

Hey Everyone!!

Man does time fly, here we are getting ready for fall weather, winter and beyond. It seems like just yesterday it was January 1st. where does the time go. I thought I would give a life update on whats been going on in the last few months. first of all I did a youtube video about how we were raising our own cow. Well that was a while ago and we have since butchered our cow and now have a freezer full of yummy meat!!!! How was the experience you might ask? Well I will be honest the raising the cow was not the hard part, it was when it came time to say goodbye. It's funny because I new all along why we got the cow but didn't realize how sad I would be when the day came to say goodbye. I think it was the hardest on me beings how the cow seemed to like me the most and would only come when I would call him to feed him his grain. But life goes on and over all it was a good experience and I do believe we will be getting another cow come spring. After the cow we became …

How to afford DoTerra !

Good Morning!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day? We are up and running as usual trying to get our day going, so I thought I would share with you all a little trick on how to afford Doterra!!! I remember when I first started with Doterra I thought how can I afford this? I really love the products and want everything Doterra has to offer but lets get real..... how am I going to buy this. Well the first way is to sign up as an Advocate or Wholesale customer because you immediately save 25% off everything. So instead of paying retail you pay wholesale and save !!!!!  Then a light bulb went off in my head!Next I looked at what I could buy from Doterra that I was already buying in a grocery store anyways..... I realized Doterra offered so much stuff that I was already purchasing from a local store and thought why not adapt my shopping list for some products from Doterra. So there you have it just swap what you would buy in the store such as, laundry soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc. …

Happy Homeschooling!

Work At Home Homemakers!!!

Hello Fellow Homemakers!!!

Do you enjoy staying home with your kiddos? Do you like homeschooling? Do you like being a keeper of the home, but in some ways wish you could bring in a little extra income or perhaps you would like the opportunity to make an income from home to help your husband out? Well, I have felt the same way for years. In the last 15 years, I have always tried to help supplement my husbands' income with babysitting, working in a preschool a few times a week and many other things.  I never liked leaving my home because it cut into my homeschooling, house cleaning, chauffeuring my kids to and from sports and cooking dinner responsibilities. I am happy to say that I have found my niche and a job I love without having to sacrifice all my Homemaker Happiness !!!
I am happy to say that I am a DoTerra Wellness Advocate and I love it. Is it an easy job you ask? Well, it is like anything you do if you want something bad enough you have to put forth the effort! I have nev…

Essential Oils, Who do I choose????

Hey everyone!!!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday morning? Today I wanted to address the topic of why I chose Doterra Essential Oils for my family. First of all, I am not bashing other oil companies I am simply stating why I chose Doterra. When I was researching oils I really did my homework and educated myself. The reason I ended up choosing doTERRA boils down to two things.

# 1

Doterra is the only oil company that has Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils. Whys that you might ask? Well, all oil companies have to put their oils through testing but Doterra goes above and beyond and puts their oils through a much more rigorous testing cycle, so their standard for the purest oils in their eyes is Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade. This is why I chose Doterra. I know that when I put the oils on my skin and ingest them that they are the purest.

I love that Doterra sources its oils from all over the world where the plant grows in its natural environmen…

My top 5 Homeschool must haves!!!!

Hey guys!

Today I am going to share my top 5 homeschool must haves.

# 1
If you are a homeschooling parent you definitely need these products. If you are new to homeschooling then I highly recommend reading the book The Successful Family Homeschooling Handbook this book is full of advice on how to homeschool your child, how to not feel pressured if your child isn't reading yet and testimonies of other parents and how they homeschool. I refer back to this book when ever I feel stressed that my children are not where I think they should be in there homeschool journey and it always gives me peace knowing I am doing the right thing and that my kids are learning.

# 2
The second book I recommend is the Jim Trelease Read-A-Loud Handbook  this book is great for finding out what books are great for each grade level. You can search through the book and find books you like and see if they would be appropriate for your child's grade level. Nothing is worse when you choose a book to read …

Join Me On My Journey!

Hello Friends,

Today I wanted to share my new journey that I am on. As a stay at home mom I want the best for my family and I would also like to contribute to our finances. We are a one income family and have been for many  years.  I have searched and tried many different work from home jobs but only to come up empty handed. Today I am proud to say I have found something I am passionate about and really believe in. I am a wellness advocate for Doterra!!!!  I have always loved essential oils and have used them but it wasn't until my friend shared Doterra with me that I was hooked. I love Doterra not only for their outstanding pure essential oils but for the opportunity to share the oils with friends and loved ones and be able to earn an income.  It doesn't cost that much to become a member so you can buy oils at wholesale price instead of retail and its a business that you can build at your own pace.  Yes, you have to work hard to build up your team, but nothing comes with out…

Prayer Works!!!!

Prayer Changes Things!!!!

It seems like the devil is trying to destroy so many christian families.  There have been so many things happening in my own life, that sometimes it seem unbearable. We have lost loved ones in tragic ways and marriages are falling apart. But God is able to to mend marriages and comfort those who are grieving from loss.  I choose to stand on Gods word and trust in him for all things. We are fighting spiritual warfares and the only way to win and beat the devil is through constant prayer!!! There is POWER IN PRAYER!!!! So when you feel discouraged PRAY when you feel weak PRAY when you feel like your prayers aren't being answered PRAY and when you feel like you can't pray anymore ....... PRAY!!!  God heres are prayers in Mark 11:24 it says.....(Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received[a]it, and it will be yours.)
Watch this video for encouragement! God Bless and PRAY, PRAY, PRAY !!!…
